Community Drawing Lab is a project of Artist and Studio Arts Instructor Bart Galloway that focuses on bringing people together to create a safe, supportive environment for exploring self-expression and community thru the act of Drawing. All ages and skill levels are welcome to these events unless otherwise noted. Beginners can get some solid fundamental instruction. Seasoned drawers can come dive right in and get feedback and informed, productive critique along the way if desired.
Bart Galloway has drawn since he can remember. It's how he sees the world. Bart has also taught drawing for over 30 years to students of all ages and abilities privately and in formal academic settings from preschool classrooms to college graduate degree programs. Bart understands that Drawing can help us experience so many facets of life - it can be therapeutic, scientific and irrational; it can inspire self-discovery, empowerment and (re)connection; it can help us gain insight into how our local, global and intergalactic environments function. Drawing expands what we are able to behold as beautiful.
